Patrol Bridge Building Contest - Fall 2009
Boy Scouts of America - Troop 401 - Steubenville, Ohio
The troop patrols will be building bridges in October. The scouts are to work together in their patrols to design and build a bridge which can span a 20 inch gap using toothpicks. The bridge which has the highest (load / bridge weight) ratio will be the winning bridge. Bridges will be loaded using a mechanism placed on the top of the bridge at mid span.
